Technical Tuesday: How To Stay Safe On Public Wi-Fi
Many of us today are surrounded by free or public Wi-Fi. Burt that is not the necessarily a good thing. In our modern day society we are all attached to our phones/ Mobile devices and basically our entire lives are on them. Meaning that our banking information our bill pay systems and our private emails/ text are all right there. Personally, I try to never use public Wi-Fi if its at all possible. There are a few reasons for this But for the purpose of the post I am going to state the top 3 dangers and also give you some options on how to stay safe. The first on…

Technical Tuesday: What is Juice Jacking and How do you stop it.
Are you a person who travels a lot or even a little? If so then please for your own safety keep reading. Juice Jacking is when you plug your phone into a public charging station using either the cord provided to you or the cord that you brought with you. Either way, the public charging station then installs a small piece of malware on your phone and BAMM you are hacked. Now, this hacking is not the fault of the company that provided you the charging station (they were just trying to be nice). This hacking is done by a person who is probably miles away and is lurking on…

Explore the Magic of the MagicBand
I went to Disney these past two days and I was amazed as I usually am. But what got me this time was the technology that I was surrounded with and was given to wear on my wrist. By that I mean MagicBands. MagicBands Disney has been giving out MagicBands to guest staying at their resorts for years now, since 2013 in fact. You can get one when you are a passholder for free or when you buy a ticket into Disney. (But you have to purchase that one separately) These MagicBands are great as they connect straight to your passholder card/ticket into Disney. You may also connect a credit…

Review of Samsung Gear Sport
About a week ago I went ahead and took the leap. I bought a SAMSUNG GEAR SPORT. I normally don’t buy expensive technology. In fact, I normally don’t buy new tech till it’s been tested by every single Blogger/Youtuber out there and by some people in my own personal Geeks Circle. But I had been looking at the Samsung Gear for about a year and decided that since it was a new product they had lowered the price by $70.00 for Mother’s day. I would go ahead a take that leap. Now for some techy news… This isn’t the first sports version. The first version wasn’t even referred to as…

Nintendo Switch ( So So Excited)
In Gamers Welcome to the Geekdom I told all of you about how I used to play Zelda and Sonic and Mario…Well, here we are 20 years later and I am still a fan. So imagine this geeky person last night at 11pm… I was completely absorbed in the NINTENDO SWITCH Event. I didn’t move for anything and with all that excitement bubbling I could hardly sit still. It was a test of my self control to not visit the GameStop website and pre-order myself one. At the beginning of the event they told us the relevant information… and here it is again (in case you missed it.)The Nintendo Switch…

Gamers Welcome to the Geekdom
Sadly IÂ am not a gamer…not really by any means… I am that person who sits back and watches the other people play. I am that person who you don’t want playing Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield 1, or Black Ops 3. I am that person who tries to not die 5 minutes (sometimes 30 secs) into the game, and if I do survive more than a minute. I become really happy and charge forward without a thought. I can remember when my love of video games first started. When my soul filled with the joy and amazement that I could do things in other worlds that I personally could never…

“Fantastic Beast” and the World as we know it.
So for my first post on this new endeavor.. I thought I would reach into something of a favorite topic of mine. The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter. I have been a fan of Harry Potter since 2001, near my 12th birthday. I read all 4 books (at that time there were only 4) in about 3 days… Then I re-read each of them about 10 times each… I am honestly a Huge Fan and now own the entire series. So of course, I am excited and curious about the movie Fantastic Beast, I have not seen it yet because of work…Which is a great travesty in my life… but…
