Steam (Online Gaming Platform)

Recently it came to my attention that there is an online gaming platform called Steam. Supposedly its one of the best out there. So I downloaded it and played a few games. More like Failed at playing games.

I am personally not very good with Video Games or MMO Games or RPG MMO Games, but I do love to play. As I said in Gamers Welcome to the Geekdom. I am not a gamer… but I love to play!

Where to get Steam for yourself.

Setup on Steam was super simple and took only about 5 minutes to complete. I also put the app on my phone and that only took a few moments to download and install. You can get the app on Google Play or in the App store. You can also get it from the steam website.

What I liked about the platform and what I didn’t like.

What I liked about the website is that once you install the program on your computer it takes you to the program and is completely up to date with the games that you looked at on the site. I also like that you can add friends from social media sites and also people that you have played a specific game with before.

I did not like that I still had to download the games. Also that I really had no instructions on how to play the games once I got into them. I prefer to know what I am doing in a game… or at least have some clue as to how to move about. 

But I realize that a few things are trial and error. I actually was playing a game called Milmo on there the other day. It was pretty fun once I got the hang of moving about. I also tried to play a few other games, but I think I will be sticking to simple games for right now… You know build up that gaming confidence.
