Lately all I have heard and seen on Twitch and YouTube is Fortnite this and Fortnite that. So eventually I had to ask what is Fortnite… And boy am I glad I waited to ask. Seriously not the biggest fan at the moment. This could be cause I just tried playing it on the Xbox one and personally think I sucked.

What I NOW Know about Fortnite:

Fortnite is a third person shooter game in which you can either play the Story or the Battle Royal. ( I just played the story) You get to build in the game or as a Poke said on YouTube “there are four B’s (Build, Break, Battle and Bond)” basically you build stairs and walls and ceilings and floors and can set traps or you can break them and other objects to collect building materials.

The Battle part comes from the fact that everyone is trying to kill everyone else… (sorta like Free for all in COD) These people have no mercy!

and the Bond part is that you can play with other people online and in Duo. Which I have not tried by it seems pretty cool.

What I honestly think:

Being the non-gammer geek person that I am… I would have to say that this game seems to be alot more fun than many of the other third person shooters games I have tried to play. I personally think that playing it for the first time on Xbox may not have been the way to go. But my boyfriend already had it downloaded on there and set up. So I decided to go with the flow. I am not a good shooter, especially third person. I have trouble aiming the weapons… I can’t seem to not panic while playing and just start shooting in all directions. This totally kills me on COD everytime. Lol. 😁 But even with my extraordinary shooting abilities, I still had to use two of my lives and also it took forever to kill all the monster/zombies 🧟‍♂️.

So after about 5 minutes of trying to figure out the controls. I made it to the place where I have a homebase and also the shield was moved back some. I finally got a little used to the controls, but I still think that gamers have like five thumbs. I can’t hit buttons as fast as all of you pro’s!

But I do like that I have a sword on top of having multiple guns. I don’t like that I can break my sword though. I noticed that when I was playing Zelda on the switch , I could break swords too. This must be a new thing in Video games.. cause I don’t remember that from the old school games.  I feel unused to this world and the weapons can break senerio that we live in.

Anyway, overall I like the game, I don’t think that it’s everyone’s cup of tea… But it makes me want to play more, so it is a good game for me to practice on. Any I welcome anyone to say Hi if they seem me running around in the game and they take aim. No hard feelings here people! The only way to get better is to play. 😉
