30 Day Anime Challenge Day 15: What Is Your Favorite Romance Anime?

For the people who know me personally this actually may be hard to believe… but I don’t think I have a favorite Romance Anime. If I had to choose out of the anime that I have seen so far. I would have to choose My Love Story.

This anime was not at all what I was expecting when I read about it on AGeekyGals blog. I really didn’t even expect to like it. I think that the characters are really young and that gives it a feel of being sweet and innocent which I think contributes to how much I actually enjoy it.

I am a totally sucker for old fashioned romance. I do have to say that sometimes Takeo Gōda annoys me in how innocent and just dense he is. You can read all about that here though.

Chivalry is not dead!!!!

 Nor should men act like it is. In fact my boyfriend gets mad when I open doors for myself, this simple act of chivalry is so endearing.  Plus I was raised mostly by my Grandfather who even when he wasn’t feeling that great would still go out of his way to open the door for a woman (young or old) just cause that’s how he was raised.

Takeo Goda shows the kind of chivalry that I mean in many ways. He asked to hold her hand. He tells her that he wont touch a single hair on her head. This is cause he sees her as so pure and innocent and he respects her.

**Tip for others *** IT MAKES PEOPLE FEEL GOOD WHEN YOU DO SOMETHING FOR THEM, EVEN IF THEY ARE STRANGERS. ***

Anyway.. back to the topic of when I like the anime My Love Story. I mostly like it cause I can relate to the girl Rinko Yamato. When I first met my boyfriend, we both worked nights at the same store. He would help me throw away my trash at night when we were done closing. As a way to say thank you, I baked him cookies.

I have a great recipe for red velvet cookies that everyone loves. Anyway, this got us talking and I started to bake other things like pretzel bites and then started making him lunch. Along the way.. we both still don’t know how exactly… we started dating and its been over 2 years. So I relate to this story in a positive way and it makes me smile when I see how much her baking is loved by Takeo Gōda.
