Which do you prefer Pandora or Napster?

(First lets get something straight…. I am not getting paid by either company. All information in this article is purely my own experience and/or opinion.)

Now Pandora or Napster….Which do you prefer?

Personally I find it very hard to choose which is my favorite. That’s why I am writing this post. Pandora is free…but has a premium part. That of which I personally have not tried. My boyfriend pays for Napster, that of which I totally use. He has a plan that allows 3 people to use the app at the same time. A family plan and he pays 14.99 (15.00), for it every month.

I personally am a bigger fan of Pandora as that is the app that I use most often… and also I have about 5 (playlist) stations that I listen to and also actually participate in (Liking and Disliking).

On Napster I have one playlist that I have created and I kind of just throw all the songs that I like into it…So its like a jumble of jazz, 50’s, Country, Rock and Alternative.

With Pandora I can mostly just pick a stations and all my favorite songs are right there and if there is a song that I don’t really want to listen to then I either use one of my 3 skips… or I exit the app and then enter it again…or I change the station for a song and go back. All three ways to get that song to go away are easy and do actually work.

So why do I have them both… Cause many times I also want to listen to the same song or an entire album from an artist. Plus as I said earlier…. My boyfriend pays for that one… I just use it.

Napster LogoNapster starts at 4.99 for a radio like playlist with no ads and also with unlimited skips. The only other option it seems starts at 9.99, but if you read all the way down you will see that there is a hidden 3rd option.. for 14.99 you can have a FAMILY PLAN. So there you go folks… a Family Plan!

Now I am not in anyway saying that Napster is so much better. Pandora also offers a 4.99 plan but that is just to get rid of those pesky ads. Personally they don’t bother me. I think at this point, in my almost 30 years, I am just so used to ads surrounding me that I never really pay them any attention.

So with all of this in mind I am still wondering what makes you chose to pay for a subscription to either one of these companies? Are ads all that bad?

My opinion… Ads are just fine and if that means that I get to save that 15.00 a month then at the end of the year I will have 180.00 extra.
