Donkey Kong on Nintendo Switch
Yes, I Know! I should have tried a Nintendo Switch by now! Right? I totally agree. Unfortunely for me it just wasn’t in the cards. I bought a Samsung Gear Sport instead. You can read the review here.
Awhile ago I wrote a post titled “Nintendo Switch (so so excited)” Most of my information came from the Nintendo Event and playing on my friends system for a few minutes and then watching him play. But now I finally have the change to play on one myself.
How This Came To Pass:
I got this awesome opportunity because my cousin came down to Florida and set it up for me to play while I am sitting with my grandma today. He set up the entire system on my aunts TV and I couldn’t even believe it when he ask “Do you want me to get the Horse so you can ride across the plains? It actually looks cool on this game.”
Long story short… He left with his wife and kids and I went ahead and started playing Zelda on the Nintendo Switch. To bad I really still suck at the game. I somehow managed to “damaged” every single sword that he had earned… so I guess I am not to good at the game. But not one to be put out by my own shortcomings when it comes to video games… I decided to forge ahead and I started playing…..
Donkey Kong! Oh Yeah!!!!
I think I fell in love with this game! Many of you all remember the Donkey Kong from back in the day, I am sure, and probably remember seeing your kids play Sonic. Well this version of Donkey Kong is a wild combination of both things. You play in a side screen mode (this is where you view the character that you are play as from the side) and you can do all sorts of new things. The best part is that there is a Funky Mode for super beginners like me who totally suck at video games. There is also an Original Mode for the people who can play video games like normal people. (Such as my boyfriend, the video is of him playing) Below you will find a small clip of it, WordPress wouldn’t let me upload the full 1:30 of video. lol
How I feel about Nintendo Switch after playing one.
Anyway, if you do have a Nintendo Switch or are thinking about getting one I would have to say that I honestly enjoyed it and will be purchasing one soon. I saw that they came out with a lot more games for the system and that they have Nintendo Labo now. Which I have to say is a pretty interesting concept. I cant wait to see what else they come up with. The game that I am still the most interested in trying is Splatoon 2. It looks to be a lot of fun.
