Something Apple has that Windows doesnt….

In 2011 Apple decided that having the ability to have multiple devices means that you need to have to ability to get your notifications on all of these devices.

So now in 2018… I am wondering why I cant do this with my Microsoft computer and android phone… Without Cortana that is. So I installed Samsung Flow, and SideSync.

Here is a small review of Samsung Flow.

Samsung flow gives me the ability to receive and read my text and also emails and other notifications from my phone and also the ability to send information from my laptop to my phone so that I may use it on my phone and Vice Versa. But I still cannot respond to text messages… which is by far the most annoying thing I have found.

Here are some pics of SideSync

This is how your phone shows up on the computer

SideSync on the other-hand I cannot get to connect at all! I went ahead and decided to try again as I am writing this. It could not connect wirelessly. So I plugged it in by USB and it connected immediately. Unfortunately my computer also was dying at that same time so I only used it for a moment. It does allow you to use your phone on your computer. But it basically transfers your phone onto the screen of your computer for you to use. Which is nice and works well for people who need that type of access. I will use that type of access when I am writing a long blog post or when I am doing a lot of things on my computer at one time and I need to talk to the person who is on my phone. lol.

This is how you see it connect (supposedly when it works)

Anyway… As I was doing all of this my computer told me that Phone companion was being removed and that Microsoft Launcher was the way to go. So I put that on my phone and that will be the the next blog post. Using Microsoft Launcher… for a day. (cause I think a day is all I am going to be able to stand)
