Make Money When Blogging

So a while ago I wrote a post (Trying To Find Information Frustrated) This post was about my search to find information on how to make money blogging. In my search I found a few websites that told me, I could make money doing really only one thing… But they never told me what that one thing was.  I asked questions on how to do this and I became even more determined to actually succeed in this. I like my full time with benefits job and don’t hate my life or anything like that. I just want to make some extra cash. So after like what felt like 20 years in Pinterest and lots and lots of blogs that made no sense cause all they showed was their great incomes. I turned to actual books and podcast.

Yes… I turned to podcast. Did you know that they still exist? Cause I totally thought that they were gone and that no one listened to them anymore. I was so wrong. Anyway, after actually finding some information. I dug around and found out that with WordPress.com, you cannot advertise for other companies or products. So you cannot do any type of Affilate Marketing (which is one way to make money with a blog or a website)

So I had to change that and it cost me money… I spent $1.17 on a Domain for myself and then about $85.00 on Hosting.

(For those of you who don’t know a Domain is the Web address and Hosting is where the website lives in a server. That is the easiest way I know to explain what it is.)

This means that for under $100.00, I now have my very own website. I chose to stay with WordPress, but I did switch from WordPress.com to WordPress.org. This small change brought some big changes to my site and honestly I am still trying to bring things over to this site and then I will be getting rid of that one. So hopefully my followers can still find me. 🙂

Now, In the next few weeks I will also be trying to find some ways to make money. I read a post last night that said that I can sign up to be an affiliate of some sites and can even get some free stuff to try. I am looking into this right now and it seems to be legit. I found a site called MaxBounty.com. This site says that it pay the most out of any other sites. I applied to try it but honestly don’t know what I am doing. Hopefully, they will not mind guiding me a little bit.

I will be trying other sites and also seeing if some bloggers have contacted me back in regards to collaboration projects.
