The World Before Harry Potter.
In my first post I let everyone know how excited I was about Fantastic Beast coming out and how much of a HP fan I am. Now that I have seen this movie… I have to tell you I am not a big Fantastic Beast Fan.
I honestly could hardly believe what I was seeing. Maybe I went in with to many expectations of more spellbinding entertainment. Unfortunately, I didn’t get what I was expecting.
The movie was more about Newt Scamander and his new friends and what seems to be a love interest than actually being about Fantastic Beast.
I did like the part where they are looking for the Niffler and when they went into the case. That was quite interesting. I also liked how Newt had so many different species all together and how he allowed Jacob (a muggle) to feed and help him take care of his animals.
Magical Creatures:
But we mainly were only introduced to 6 creatures. Although we saw a lot more. Hopefully these other characters will be brought back in The Crimes of Grindelwald and we can learn even more about them.
My Thoughts:
There seemed to be so much going one. But this movie had so much rising action that by the time they figured out that Grindelwald was hiding in plain sight. Which was just to painfully obvious, there was about 15 to 20 minutes of run time left. Then he didn’t even put up a fight.
I honestly think this movie could have been better in so many ways. It could have explained more about the Magical Creatures. There could have been for of a magical fight with Grindelwald.
But there is one thing that I do have to say now that I have bashed this movie from a HP fan standpoint.
People who have never liked or have never seen the HP movies. Well. They would probably love this movie and since it made 777 billion in the Box office. I would say a lot of people probably liked it. I am looking forward to seeing what Mrs. Rowling has up her sleeves. Hopefully, she learned some magic from Harry.
